The Ayurvedic massages included in your Yoga package:
Every Ayurvedic massage uses medicinal oils which are tailored to you and your needs. These Ayurvedic massages are given by massage therapists who have studied in a traditional hospital environment. In addition to each massage, you will be provided with the tools to better understand yourself and to experience a consistent feeling of energy.
2 Abhyanga massages (60 mins): the word Abhyanga literally means “to cover in oil”. This is a deep holistic massage which works to release the build-up of toxins in the muscle tissue. It creates a sense of well-being, tranquillity and rejuvenation, loosening the joints, toning the muscles and boosting muscle tone.
1 Marma therapy massage (90 mins): offered in addition to a fully body Abhyanga massage, Marma therapy involves the detoxification and stimulation of 108 vital points. These points are located within the body’s energy channels and control all the physiological and physical functions of the body’s organs. This massage enhances the benefits of the Abhyanga massage and encourages better circulation of body fluids, better functioning vital organs and better removal of toxins.
1 reflexology session (45 mins): Ayurvedic reflexology involves the stimulation of reflex points on the arch of the foot and on the face. Stimulation improves physiological functions and helps to rebalance the body.
3 private yoga sessions (90 mins): 3 yoga sessions with Laurence, either one-on-one or in small groups, focusing on postures and practices to suit your needs. Having been taught by Indians and Europeans, Laurence will share her expertise with you, helping you to develop an in-depth understanding of Ayurvedic principles so that you can easily reproduce these exercises in your own home.
